Well, Mike....From my experience with flocking it can be a bitch to get the hang of. That said I think you can probably pull it off.

I dont know if you have all the appropriate supplies such as the flock tube thing that you shake the flock out of? but it does come in handy at times.
Anyway. most people will use paint that matches the color of the flock as the "Glue" but I find it doesnt work as well as it seems. I end up using clear elmers glue.
What I do is paint the base or area you want flocked, in either black or a color to go with the flocking color youre using...let it dry..then I put a few globs of the clear elmers glue on the area. I use a brush ( perhaps one you dont mind throwing away) to "Paint" on the elmners glue to make it level and even but still leaving it somewhat thick. I would say leave it thick enough for the flocking to be matted into it...maybe 1/8 inch or a lil less.
Once thats laid on the area , put the piece youre flocking into a larger box, youll need that because the next part gets messy. Take your shaker tube thing , add more than enough flock into the tube ( you dont want to run out of flcok before you have coated the piece with it...its a pain to spot fix flock) you will take the flock tube and shake out the flock and coat the entire area.....lay it on as thick as you can. its ok if it goes on really heavy cuz most will fall off when it dries.
once you have it on the piece pretty thick I would wear some gloves....then you lightly matte down the flock into the glue. dont press so hard that you mush the glue around and cause the flock to get soaked in it though. just press it down enough to help the majority of it to stick in the glue.

after that, let it dry for a while, then you dust it off or blow off any excess.

Think that covers what i do pretty well....not sure if I missed shit or if anyone has better info but at least theres a start and maybe others will help ya out now someone commented haha

Let me know if I can help with anything else man

Matt

I finally got two flocking kits I ordered that cam ewith glue that matches the flocking (brown and black) though a week late. THe munnies I was doing I was giving to two of the guests at the Emerald City Comicon. I did flock one and used the clear varnish I was sealing it was as the binding for the flocking. It worked ok. I had some "bald" spots adn Matt you are right about trying to touch it up. Almost didn't give it to the guy.
