so up next is something a bit different, something a little old school. probably not what most of you guys were expecting. but anyways. inspired by a fellow customiser, i dug up a few of my old tmnt figures and was pretty impressed by the level of detail in their sculpts. i wanted to repaint them to highlight these details and decided to start off first with rocksteady.

entitled a rhino & friend, details such as the armored kneepads, belt and elbow guard were sculpted on, and I also did up a little ox pecker companion to go with him.

repainted tmnt rahzar figure.
since he was originally intended to be a gray wolf, I repainted him accordingly with some added touches. sculpted him an eye patch on him too.

I think my mom might still have a bunch of my figures out in her garage. I might have to dig those up. I always thought rahzar looked kind of goofy being so brown.

Very good work, action figures are tough to do.

cheers all. it would be cool to see more people jump on the tmnt repaint bandwagon. here's pizzaface in all his repainted and reworked glory. this guy took a little longer than expected, i think mostly because of all the intricate details sculpted onto it. kudos to Dave Arshawsky i believe for sculpting such a great piece all those years back.
