Here is my first pull for the arms and head, the body mold got distorted...I hope to have a new one done real soon! This is a plain stand in for now. FYI if you are using two different types of Dragon Skin Silicone for molds (mine were quick and Medium set), I accidently put medium over curing quick, and even though I molded under pressure the degassing quick set Dragon Skin bubbled up my second half of the mold...
:wtf:

Anywho, this is my first art toy try... I am bloggin about it here http://www.amerikaiju.blogspot.com/ if you are so inclined...

Image

Height: 3.75 inches
Material: Soft vinyl like polyurethane
Articulation: Three points (arms and head)

Here is a really shoddy idea of the paint job... I know it's rough.

Let me know what you think...

First art toy... but to be fair, I have been doing toys semi-professionally for ten years. I co-own Cast-a-Way Toys. We make 8 inch Mego-like figures... we did the Phantom and an 8 inch version of Captain Action and Dr. Evil a few years back. I have also been customizing toys since childhood... it's in my blood :raisedaroof:

Wow... this project has had a huge learning curve! The good news is that I pulled two beautiful molds this morning. New head and body molds, the arms I got right the first time, are ready to be cast when I get home tonight! I hope to have some pix tonight or tomorrow! By the weekend for sure....

Oh and found some awesome irridescent paint, green/fuscia flip flop, it's gonne look spiffy!
